An excellent product may fail without clear answers on commissioning, consumables, parts and intervention times. Before prospecting, define responsibilities for the manufacturer, representative, installer, maintenance provider, carrier and customer.
Minimum dossier to prepare
- commercial and technical documentation in the appropriate language;
- declaration of conformity and CE documents where applicable;
- installation, operation and maintenance manual;
- consumables and critical parts with lead times;
- remote diagnosis and escalation procedure;
- warranty terms, exclusions and responsibilities;
- technician or user training plan;
- product liability insurance and emergency contacts.
Three possible models
A single commercial and technical partner simplifies the relationship but requires demonstrated expertise. The agent–installer pairing separates sales from technical execution and requires rigorous coordination. Direct manufacturer support suits a limited start where lead times and languages fit the market.
The solution depends on installation count, equipment criticality and failure cost. A first-customer pilot tests documentation, response times and parts availability before wider deployment.
